Alex told me today that the winds are changing.
I think he might be right. Rain is on the horizon.
With the cooler weather I decided to get a complementary color match today at a local spa.
I've been neglecting my makeup lately and I thought that this would give me good motivation.
I should have known I was in trouble when the woman that was giving me the "make over" wasn't wearing perfect makeup. I'm not a perfectionist, but I'd like to see that my makeup artist can at least do her own makeup well.
After it was all said and done I looked myself in the mirror. I was horrified.
I thought I looked...
Garish.
And too dark.
Alex didn't even notice when I meet him for lunch.
So maybe I'm overreacting a little.
Maybe I've not worn full blown makeup in so long even a little bit feels over done.
I'll let you decide.
Happy Friday!
What is everyone up to this weekend?
i think you look beautifully natural
ReplyDeleteI think it kind of makes you look older, but not in a "more sophisticated" kind of way. :( Sorry it didn't go as expected!
ReplyDeleteThis weekend...home improvements, kitty volunteering, and hopefully working on a gift quilt. And possibly having a visitor on Sunday. Anything fun for you? :)
actually, i think your skin tones are perfect without the makeup. Natural on you is best :)Love your blog, btw :)
ReplyDeleteI used to work as a make up artist (in a former, pre-children life)! The eyes look pretty but the foundation is too dark and truly you don't need any :)
ReplyDeleteIt's all about playing around and doing what makes you feel good.
I'm loving that first picture - very intense!
We're all poorly at my house so it's going to be a lazy weekend for us and it's bucketing with rain here!
xx
Hi Dianna! Thanks for stopping and posting on my blog. I'm getting ready to make my pastry for the Pot Pie.
ReplyDeleteI really like a Natural look as well. I think maybe she did your eyes too dark? I like your lips tho! Have a great Weekend! Kim
It's certainly more of an evening look, not really something you'd do to go to the market!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the foundation looks a bit darker than your natural skin tone. You've always had great skin though!
I have done nothing but read all weekend so far... I'm thinking about visiting a local farm tomorrow to pick up some apples and check it out.
