We left early, before the sun had even come up for the day.
Said good bye to the babies, their uncle was staying the week with them.
And set out to discover new lands.
In particular a land called...
Portland.
Why you may ask did we take a random road trip in April?
To see our friends Jacks and M who left Chico for this new land back in November. You can read about that HERE.
Still this does not answer the question. For they are always in this new land. Why now?
To go to my very first convention. This year the AAPA annual meetings were held in this place. This 81st meeting was hosted by the University of Oregon. Here is the program if you want to check it out.
I spend three days from Thursday through Saturday listening to people talk about their research. It was so inspiring. I want to just jump right back into Anthropology now.
While in Portland Alex and I enjoyed many different foods.
And local attractions:
Voodoo Doughnuts
Powell's bookstore
SockDreams
Portland, even though we are back in our Norther California home, you have not see the last of us.
We will be back!
Great pictures. What exactly is in those doughnuts? Ha! SockDreams =D
ReplyDeleteI could totally see you living in Portland. It looks like you had a great trip!
